We provide multiple interpretation services: legal, technical, website, and medical, and specialize in two different types of interpreting services:
Consecutive interpreting
is the most commonly requested service, for the following reasons. It is the easiest service to arrange and set up and follow. Consecutive interpreting occurs when the interpreter waits until the end or near the end of the speaker’s sentence before interpreting.
Simultaneous interpreting
is more involved in various aspects. First there is more set-up: headsets, microphones. This is ideal in situations where there are people present who speak many different languages. A common example of simultaneous interpretation is at such events as the UN conferences, and the interpreters are separated from the speakers and interpret and utilize special equipment. Simultaneous interpreters work in teams rotating every 20-30 minutes. Interpreters translate what the speaker is saying as they are saying it into a microphone, and the participant listens through headsets and depending on the set-up may be able to speak into a microphone for the interpreter to hear and respond.
